My wife wants me to learn cooking and signed me up for a cooking class. She feels it is time that I should wear the apron in her kitchen. I am scared that I am the only male student there and that the women there will make fun of me. Should I refuse to go.??
i think it’s a great idea.
an apron is so that you don’t mess up your clothes. there’re a lot aprons out there that aren’t "girly/sissy".
if you’re the only guy there, you might just be the most popular student! your wife might get jealous and make you quit then. haha.
but seriously, a man who can cook well is the envy of other men and women.
i’m quite popular with my wife’s colleagues and every so often she gets requests from them for me to cook another batch of tuna pasta salad for their lunchroom.
oh by the way.. the other students might be even more worried about what others think of them.. that’s why they are there, learning..
Every time I ask a question I get the same question everytime. I want to go to school but not sure if it is worth it to become a chef because people say it’s not worth going to school just work in resturants.
Its really important to get the exact training that you are going to use in your career. You cant just wait on tables and call it good for becoming a chef, you need to really learn the fundamentals of all sides of it. Here are TONS of schools that offer courses for people just like you. Wanting to learn how to become a chef. You can also search by zip code to only view the schools that are near where you live. I think this is one of the most fascinating careers. Why not take a course and be ahead of your competition!
Good luck!
Can somebody plz plz plz tell me about the TOP or atleast good Cooking Schools to become a PROFESSIONAL CHEF?
I have no idea of the requirements & procedure to get in so plz explain (I have no formal experience jus the usual cooking experiments at home).
Schools outside India are very much preferred.
I have read in an article that age matters & that only 16-25yrs of age is generally considered for most schools. Is it true? Im like 25. Do i still have a chance?PLZ answer
Thanks for all those who’ve pointed me to good schools
top cooking schools in the world are in France, Spain, and New york Le Cordon Bleu in France is the best, but Spain is now the top country for food now so cooking school their is a great idea. In the US the CIA in New York is tops. I went to a great school one of the top ones, but have had to omit it from my resume because after I had my baby and wanted to step down as executive chef. I had a hard time finding line level work people get vary intimidated by me. It’s a trade off good luck
